Earth

Earth (Latin: Terra ) - third , counting from the Sun , and the fifth largest planet of the Solar System . In terms of diameter , mass and density is the largest rocky planet of the solar system .
Earth is inhabited by millions of species , including human [8 ] , is the only known place in the universe where life exists [ 9]. The planet formed 4.54 ± 0.05 billion years ago [ 10 ] and life appeared on its surface within the first billion years after formation . Then the terrestrial biosphere affected the atmosphere , hydrosphere , lithosphere , and other abiotic factors of the planet , enabling the growth of aerobic organisms and the emergence ozonosfery . The development of life on land has allowed the ozone layer , reducing the intensity of ultraviolet radiation [11 ] and the magnetosphere , the reflective particles of the solar wind .
Lithosphere is divided into several tens of segments called tectonic plates , over millions of years which move against each other , which leads to a substantial change in time of continents .
The surface in 70.8% of the world's ocean water is contained in the seas and oceans , the remaining 29.2 % are continents and islands. Necessary for life on Earth, liquid water has been detected on the surface of other celestial bodies [ A 4 ] [A 5]. The interior of the Earth consists of a thick mantle , a liquid outer core ( which generates a magnetic field ) and the solid inner core .
